How to counter takedown into sub?

Maybe it's just me put I notice this works a lot better on Xbox1 then ps4. Everytime I try I never seem to get it timed on ps4 but on xbox1 this seems to be much easier. I dunno it's wierd.

Man, all I do is press L2 + down and it works every time, easy peezy.

I would guess a large portion of the roster doesn't have this reversal. Of the roster I've been through only about 20% of fighters have this submission.
