How to correct miss-timed ground denial/reversal?

When you go to deny/reverse a ground transition and you miss time it and both fighters kinda pause for a few seconds mid transition, how do i correct/re-do the denial whilst we are momentarily paused? I guess it would be regaining Grapple Advantage? Do i need to let go and re-flick just the R the stick or do i let go of both R2 and R stick and re-apply both?

I hope that makes sence

To add to the above, if I miss the denial for the fake, but at least I attempted I the correct direction, do I have equal chance at denying the next fake/transition?

Are you guys talking about that weird pause where you have the chance to let go and refill the hub for a sweep, or some other type of transition or reversal? I don't get how that happens either

Good question! Been wondering this too

For those who fake a ton. Does your ability to deny reset immediately, or do I need to guess which one isn't a fake? How the hell do I pick the correct transition (rather than a fake) against someone who spams the quick animations?

All I know is the transition fakes are getting really annoying, had a guy just the that was doing atleast 6 or 7 fakes each time between transitions.

Most annoying thing ever.

I thought I read if you try do deny a fake and don't get it you can't deny another transition for a period of time.

I've been running into people doing spastic things with fakes.

Re: How to correct miss-timed ground denial/reversal?

If someone is doing multiple fakes, that means the opponent gets to start and complete a transition.

Perhaps someone can experiment with what happens when someone denies the fake in the right direction but misses the denial; do they get an equal chance to deny the next fake/transition?
