Its not that bad honestly. You just need to play ppl who are good at it. I'm not saying im the best ground guy in this game but im pretty amazing at it. Striking not so much but the ground game is were i do my work.

Also I don't even use baby punches no more, All body punches and knees to the body from side control. Baby punches are a thing of the past. lol

Your striking could be excellent with a few more mix-ups and use of the dreaded parry.

I would rather you just stick to ground so you don't smash me everywhere.

K so let me guess.

You constantly block and go for single collar clinches, you then get a single leg takedown from clinch to attain side control, you then land unblockable strikes from side control to gain grapple advantage, you also hold onto side control as most fighters only have two ways to transition out of this position.

This position is incredibly easy to hold because of this.

You will continue to land unblockable strikes whilst in side control to continue building up your GA, making it impossible for your opponent to escape

You will rinse and repeat this till you are able to get full mount and then finish the fight with like 4 strikes because the ground game is so unbalanced.

Am I correct?

I'm not hating either bigcee, but this is what everyone who is in the top 100 that is good at the ground game does.

No side control for me.

Just back sitting and half guard is were i do most of my work. I know the ground game is boring and just being held down and laid on for 15 min is not fun but it's mma and to some ppl this type of fighting is so much fun.

Just my thoughts...

You just said above you use side control to land knees.

I do, I use everything. I never ever stay in side control because at times its hard to keep with lag and fakes but I do use it to throw knees to the body and elbows then block and transition and go for some type of sub.

There's so many different ways you can approach the ground game and use it to its strength. Not trying to be a jerk but me personally... I love the whole ground game and the different ways you can move around and fake and just lay on ppl for long periods.

Nothing more fun then laying on a mans body rubbing sweaty chest hair all over each other all fight. lol
