The point was people with long legs can move faster. Movement likely covers sways and other things as well.

That makes no sense. Yes a taller fighter taking one step, will travel more distance than a short fighter taking one step. That doesn't mean that The Big Show can run faster than Rey Misterio because he is taller.

Don't you understand where i am comin from?

If what i say here in my post is true, this is one of the most broken mechanic of the game that got outlooked by the devs and gamechangers. Hopefully this gets attention and hear GameplayDevUFC's opinion on this.

There is no reason for Mike Tyson to be moving slower than a heavy Heavyweight.

No, but he can cover more ground walking with the same amount of steps. You are also comparing two guys who aren't even close. You are comparing like a heavyweight to a lightweight. You can be short and have good movement, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can cover more ground trying to close or escape. Like I said, movement likely covers sways, etc., as well.

Re: I have reason to believe the movement stat is broken.

Anyone remember the 'forward moving head movement' mechanic in fight night?

Fighters like Frazier or Tyson were able to cover a lot of ground while moving their head off the centerline. It was really helpful for closing range while avoiding damage.

I'm not saying that will help Tyson close the gap between a HW 265 UFC Fighter lmao --- but that mechanic, or something similar that helps shorter fighters close distance, would be great in this game

Boiler, that sounds insanely awesome. I never played Fight Night, but that mechanic sounds brilliant. That's EXACTLY what EA UFC needs!

What exactly does the Movement stat effect in this game? Sway speed? Dash speed/ length? Speed of movement, or distance covered?

yea man it was awesome. Without that mechanic, no way my Frazier could have closed the distance w/ Foreman or Ali

Not sure if there is much youtube footage that shows it but I'm sure if you go watch a couple videos of decent fighters using Tyson, for example, you'll see it

It's definitely NOT a 'magic bullet' --- while doing that motion, your body is 100% wide open; and it's a 'canned' animation, so if your opponent sees it coming, they can time up a good counter for sure

BUT it was SO useful for closing distance...something sorely needed in this game!...a way to close distance; but it needs to be a bit risky, too

I know movement speed affects sway speed + 'foot speed' in this game but not sure about the exact details
