Thai strikes still need to be toned down a little. Besides that, I'm pretty okay with the clinch.

Re: Clinch needs some tuning.

I beat some guy twice in ranked last night who kept clinching me constantly. Once he didn't land the strikes he wanted he'd try to take me down. He never varied from this at all in either fight and I was just sitting here like "what are you doing, man?" I guess he plays a lot of people who don't know how to deal with it because he was well above .500. I don't ever get finished in the clinch anymore. It was an issue at launch, but it's pretty balanced now. I still hate facing guys that wanna grab me all fight, but at least they aren't knocking me out when they do.

It doesn't seem realistic, rather I'd like to see if a strike lands, it slows down the transition, but you are still able to escape if not blocked.

Also, I'd like to see in clinch, similar to the ground game, where if you transition at the same time a strike is being thrown you can escape easier.

Just seems more in line with how clinch fights happen in real life.

I koed way to many guys this weekend who just could not escape the clinch,

Thoughts?
I like this idea.

A good tutorial is essential for a game with so many nuances.

Quit trying to transition before blocking. Strikes have a better chance of causing a health event when you are performing an action.

Re: Clinch needs some tuning.

Clinch is only annoying in UT.

Ground fighters have such crazy low chin ratings in UT, often just 1 unblocked Knee or Elbow will drop you outright. Even from people without special perks, stats, or moves to buff their clinch.

Sometimes guys have such clinch stats and you have such low that it doesnt matter if you block, they will strike again and KO you
