Grappling needs patching (Rubber guard and Transition fakes spamming)

Well, we all know that the rubber guard is broken and needs to be blocked almost preemtively when a guy with good grappling numbers do that transition so they start spamming it and winning decisions by landing elbows. It actually takes a couple of seconds to scoop out your oponent to get his head closer from your stomach and to lift your leg to lock it over his neck so its the complete oposite of having a lightning fast transition. Having this transition as a modified transition (not as slow as one but just a couple of frames slower) would make perfect sense to help with the in-game realism.

Transition fakes, although they are the best counter mesaure for lay and prayers nor players who just seem to be happy by landing baby punches on the the ground without posturing up and waiting to block your transitions these fakes are extremely OP and unrealistic since a human hip cannot go that fast and explode from one side to another like that and makes the grappling aspect of the game more challenging than it should be since it is extremely dificult to set things up and deal with its frequent use and exploiting. What should a replacement for this is a submission cancel to transition like the well known omoplata sweep for example.

Lets take UFC Undisputed 3 as an example. What forces player to resort to these faking methods is the lack of stalemate stand ups by the referees when players refuse to posture up and deal damage. it should be like the game mentioned before where you should pusture and keep dealing damage on top position or you would be stood up after 10 or 15 seconds of inactivity or throwing meaningless strikes without posturing up or trying to advance.

Players are pro-actively spamming transition fakes nowdays and getting to beat more skilled players by just using this cheesy thing but its also a result of the lack of stand ups and lack of punishment and high rewards for these lnp'er.

My opinion in regards of fakes and rubber guard may be controverisal but what do you think ?

Fakes are so dumb. I wouldn't mind them if punishment for trying to deny one wasn't so severe. People literally just start flicking the stick.

Rubber guard doesn't bother me, you have to be fast to deny it. Seems OP as far as how quick it is, and how you can hold people there. I don't okay ultimate team, but in quick match against caf it seems wild for how fast it is.

Transition faking needs to be taken out of the game. Period. ESPECIALLY in the clinch. That just looks awful.

Re: Grappling needs patching

At least in a fair amount of matches i play it seems like you are forced to fake.

Frequently in matches I'm in when the fight goes to the ground it's almost a waiting game. It's like the first person to move is at a disadvantage. It's like both players are waiting for the other to move so they can try reversal or deny than advance position. If dominant fighter postures they risk huge stamina punishment from arm traps.

I feel forced to fake, because if i don't and I try and transition first I get reversed.

Thats what im saying, on the other side the game rewards lay and prayers who just wait for you to move and the referee rarely stands the fighters up due to inactivity and lack of damage dealt but the arm trap thing doesnt seem that broken to me. Fakes are still broken and need to be taken out and punish these players who just wait on the ground somehow to balance the whole thing

Re: Grappling needs patching

I think fakes are needed for the ground at least, clinch im not too sure. It will make grappling too one dimensional without it, but i do think they need to be revamped abit some fakes are useless, some fake spamming stop you from atacking.

LnP seem to have a big advantage all they need to do is wait and deny, without fakes this will be even worse but i do think ref stand ups should be more frequent, people can lay on you for ages baby punching and denying, ref should give a warning for them to work which means either posture up or advance position if not within 5-10 seconds a stand up will happen.
