Re: A Look at Cage Clinch Denials

I've had good success lately holding people in Double Underhooks. Denials, knees and slams.

How I remember anyway lol. I cant figure out how it judges what position you are in when its initiated, but then again I haven't thought about it too much. Have a feeling its to do with the stance the person you are clinching is in

This is really good. It's been working for me when, for example, I escape from Thai into Single Collar and know I want to try to tranisition to my Thai right away, I can use this to start pushing in the right direction before the HUD actually shows which direction is Thai and which is Over/Under. Left and Right still doesn't work for me with denials, but here there is enough time for me to utilize it. Thanks!

And I'm pretty sure that as the clincher, you change your stance to your opponents stance when you grab them. For Single Collar at least.

Yes this is probably the case. Im so used to the directions that it doesnt bother me what stance were in when its initiated.

What youre saying about preempting where you wanna go is very true, another good example is always knowing what side Rubber Guard is on, when the animation for them sweeping to your guard is playing out, hold it :P (Good rule of thumb when getting swept is RG is the side you are rolling towards, continue the momentum you get rubber, but in all scenarios its always towards the side that you are holding their head with)

And here's Single Collar Clinch Denials.

I was pretty happy with this one. All the animation logic was easier and more consistent than I was expecting.

Tell me if these help you!

Awesome! Thanks Bigg Cee!

This assures that I will do the Cage Over/Under and Cage Single Collar animation catalogs soon.

What about Standing Back Clinch? The RNC and Kimura were already covered in the Clinch Submission Denial video. Doesn't leave much. Do you guys want a video for that?
