In all honesty, it sucks the fun out of the game when people will go to these types of measures to win. Then again, I guess there's a spectrum of what guys are willing to deal with, so this must be some sort of extreme. Meh.

I can confirm. I don't like laying and praying either but when I saw this I just had to test it. It got me the win in a fight I was losing for sure

Funny. Mines are exactly the same for those who play it as if it's a tekken game, abusing every shortcomings of the stamina and hit stun/multiplier effect systems.

Point fighting/lnp are legitimate MMA strategies. Spamming subs is taking advantage of a flaw in the mechanics of the game. Those are two very different things. Sub spamming at least does have a counter, it's just that not many people know it because denying subs doesn't come up that often.

edit: I do wish there were a "towel" button or option you could use when you just know that you're outclassed. If a person is legit really good at the ground game and can grind me to dust for 15-25 minutes they deserve the win, but I should have a quit option that gives them a submission win without giving me a DNF. There should also be an "our connection is unbearable" mutual quit option where it's like the fight never happened.

Yeah id rather play against a point fighter or someone trying to lay and pray. Always hilarious when realistic fighting methods are criticized when the other options in this game are beyond far from realistic.
