Career mode for UFC 3 (Ideas, sugestions)
Since our respected users have provided ideas for grappling and striking we should provide ideas for the career mode which should be the main focus of the game since the only part it's fine the way it is with ranked and ultimate team. We should share the things we'd like in the career mode as well but in my opinion these ideas will be the receipe for a perfect career mode.
* Fight Camps:
We should have fight camps with different sparring partners and moves in every camp. For example AKA a gym where you can turn your fighter into a wrestler-boxer and you will mainly focus on wrestling and boxing. Greg Jackson a place to develop a balanced fighter good at everything but great at nothing. Nova Uniao if you wanna be a Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu guy and the list goes on, pretty much like an RPG game where you choose different classes and obviously that will make us replay the game to try all styles if you get my drift.
* Money:
Fight camps charge fighters for every training session and/or sparring partners and each camp should be categorized from less expensive to the most expensive (Jackson and Winklejohn, AKA etc.). Each camp for your fight needs to have price and you should have the option the select sparring partners, type of training, moves and techniques according to your budget and the more you progress in the game you should earn more and afford better training camps for your scheduled fight and a better fight team.
* Sparring partners:
- Each sparring partner should help you work on the different aspects of your game I.E: You are a heavyweight fighter training in AKA and you want to work on your striking pick a teammate who's good in the striking like Rockhold and it should get you a nice boost in striking. If you want to get better in the clinch train with DC and if you want to get better at shooting takedowns from the outside spar with Velasquez. It will also be good to have an option that lets you pay for different sparring partners from different camps, obviously with a higher fee.
* Balancing in stats
One of the most unrealistic things in the past two games is that you were able to create 100 overall fighters during your career and you will just run through everyone which is wrong. The game should not let you be great at everything by any means. If you work in your striking your grappling stats should go down a little bit and viceversa so in that way we will have a balance and will make us train smarter and more realistic and every drill and/or training session should have pros and cons like an RPG game.
* More drills/mini games
This is self explanatory, no need to go in depth with this. Mini games like hitting pads, Flipping the tire, treadmill for cardio etc.
* Different career paths:
Stop making the Ultimate fighter cliche a mandatory thing, just make a couple of fictional organizations and let people choose their career path and manage their career however they want. Some people like to fight bums for a long time until they get good at smaller organizations until they get the offer to fight in the UFC or to sign for the Ultimate Fighter (Each one with different contracts and earning system).
* Career Management and fight scheduling:
Like stated previously, career mode should let you work your way by fighting bums, earn smaller amounts of money and pad your record or let you take fights against higher ranked oponents with way better stats and earn more money. Also to let you take short notice fights to earn double but less time to train and switch between weight classes. In addition we should be able to decide how we spend our fighter's time with the following ideas:
- The ability to decline and or choose a preferred date for your fights to either train more and expend more on money and time on training or to stay inactive to heal your body from previous damage (Keep reading so you will understand the inactivity thing a little bit more)
* Injuries, weight cutting and overall fighter's health:
Training camps should be more in depth and immersive and let you choose the intensity of your training sessions each one with the chance of affecting your overall performance or causing an injury that will make you pull out of the fight. Weight cutting needs to make debut since it has beein in combat sports forever at can be introduced in the game effectively by following this criteria:
- Going down a weight class should not be easy at all and it should force to do more cardio training than anything for going down a weight class and making weight.
- Fighters get medical suspensions after every fight depending on how much damage they took in their last fight and the longer your suspension is the longer you'll take to resume your training so your weight and size will increase depending on how long your suspension is and this should force you to work on your cardio and overall conditioning a little bit more without forgetting about the stats balancing criteria mentioned before where certaing stats go down if you boost a certain aspect of your fighter. This idea should make sense if we (it would make sense to make your other stats go down due to inactivity and lack of training),
- Size and body types should be an important factor for your weight cutting and how easy or dificult it will be for you to make weight depending on the stats you chosen for your fighter like height and body types like tall and lanky, short and stocky, fat etc. This is good to make the game more immersive and can also be seen as a punishment for the people who likes to make career easier by creating giant CAFs with longer reach Lmao.
- Age: The older your fighter gets during the career the faster your stats your stats will go down during inactivity or healing periods, or it can be used to make your hand/kick speed and movement stats go down progressively or maybe both.
What do you think ?
Feel free to post your ideas as well
BTW BRING PRIDE BACK !!!
