Can't move laterally

Ok so lately when I play, my character often can't walk sideways, or move laterally. Instead he will just repeatedly sidestep, draining my stamina. I'll literally be holding up or down, but instead of walking my fighter just keeps sidestepping over and over.


Could this be a problem with net lag, or with my controller, or with my tvs input lag??

I never had this problem before, it just started happening recently.

Sounds like a controller issue. Everything plays fine on my end.

Turns out i'm not crazy and this is a real issue with ps4 controllers.

Found a strange fix and it actually seems to have worked.

Super weird.




That and holding down the anolog stick and blowing super hard into the controller.

There must be some sort of dust or build up that effects that analog range of motion or something.

After playing a few matches with my controller working again... My god... How did I play with it broken for like 2 weeks?!?

I'm roastin' dudes now that I can finally move around properly again.

I also play for hours every day. And i've had my ps4 for a few years now, still using the original controller. I'm sure more casual gamers don't have this issue, but still.

Also if you saw how beat up and haggard my controller was, youd laugh... Aha..

I need to just go buy a new one at some point, tbh. Excited this fix seems to have worked though, even if only temporarily.

I think I went 3 controllers on ufc 1. Does yours rattle if you shake it?

Oh yeah.

My analog nubs have completely worn off also. To which I super glued new nubs on, which then also rubbed off, and chipped apart, so I had to rip those off, and glue new ones on, which have now been rubbed down again, and chipping apart.... Soo I just covered them in super glue to hold em together and give my fingers an abrasive surface to stick to..

My controller is shot. lmao
