Can you win with a wrestler other than submitting

the opponent? I'm new to the game and I created a freestyle wrestler build. I dominate matches on the ground but only rarely win. Any tips on the wrestler build?

I'm wondering what factors the judges use to determine a winner.

Takedowns count big. Otherwise tire them out with top control and land big shots in mount

Yes. I take the opponent down asap and then mostly ground & pound. Haven't been able to submit anybody. I'm a noob and still learning how to prevent reversals and keep a guy on his back.

I have no idea how to prevent reversals. I just try to build grapple advantage before transitioning, or throw the dreaded fake before transitioning if my opponent has good denials

Side control!!!!! If you want to win by decision and still get outstruck, flashed rocked or even just beat down. Side control counts huge on the judges score card, even more then top control and forward pressure.

Your going to win a lot more if you just stay in that position for atleast a few mins per round. You don't even have to throw subs or ground and pound. Just stay there and deny his transition and you should be all set to win a lot of decision fights.
