Most picked online fighters

I hear people complain about crazy fighters being picked all the time, but there was no data. Because of that I wanted to make a run through the divisions and document my opponents. I just wanted to see how often dudes like Lawler are really picked. You can already see some trends.

I made a second account recently and played through all the divisions again. Noticed there was more variety in fighter selection throughout the lower divisions.

But it's difficult being competitive when selecting a mediocre fighter in these higher divisions.

Generally, if you're fighting a Lawler in WW, you're relying on that player making mistakes. If they're a good player though, they'll just play it safe and out-point you.

Surprised you didn't see any MW Lawler, although you hardly had any MW fights, I run into MW Lawler allll the time. And also no WW Woodley, which I see constantly every day.

Interesting stuff though Dave!

How do you get this data though? Did you put every fight you had in an Excel sheet or something?

No, I have a note taking app on my cell phone. Every time fight starts I enter name in my phone.

Excel or something would be much better, especially when I get more fights. It's kind of a pain for me to look through list right now and figure out percentages.

I currently only have tablet and a smart phone so I figured just keep a list on my phone.

I'll probably only go to division and maybe do some fights there to get more data, but it's certainly not scientific since it's just me using random weight classes. Fights against most division 7 and 8 players are just not fun to me.

Tell me about it lol, and I'm Div7 myself. Maybe I'll make a new account and try to put the fights into Excel

I use Big Nog no problem - just all about having experience with them and playing to their strengths.

Well, experience can only get you so far. I can dominate a WW Lawler with Maia no problem, but trying the same thing with Brandon Thatch is a very different story
