As Aholbert said, there is no reason for them to stop making the games if they keep doing well. And, I will add, unlike other sports game franchises, the UFC devs have been committed to innovating with each installment in rather significant ways. As long as that continues (and I don't see it stopping anytime soon), there is no reason for EA to "pull the plug."

Why wouldn't it last? MMA isn't going anywhere. The series hasn't even peaked yet. Once they actually make a good game, they're probably going to see better sales than ever. UFC 2 was a piece of garbage and it still sold fairly well for being such a blah game. That means there is a huge audience for MMA games. With an even more huge audience of untapped players.

I know a ton of people who play FIFA who have never even watched a soccer game on TV. Just because it's apparently a really good game. The same way people used to go nuts over Tiger Woods games. Or Tony Hawk games.

I don't see EA UFC going anywhere. However it would be nice if EA Canada allowed EA Tiburon to take a shot at the Fight Night series seeing how EA Canada are the developers of Fight Night. EA Canada can't work on both EA UFC and Night at the same time, one would have to be stopped with production to make one or the other of the two games.

MMA is still big so it's not going to stop. And at the moment EA has no competition in the MMA games. Unless 2K or someone started making games for Bellator, Rizin etc.
