EA MMA you could take a beating or give a beating depending on the choices both fighters make. With the damage system changing I just can't see the ground game feeling the same even if the dynamic controls are the same.

I guess it also depends on the reactions fighters have when getting hit on the ground which kind of froze you if getting hit from a postured position. Which made it risky to decide to try to block, transition, or block to try and transition and hope the next shot coming down doesn't finish you, or bleed through your block.

I noticed the HUD and started thinking the same thing. I would be so happy if damage in general was like EA MMA. As bare bones as the game was, it implemented a lot of elements of MMA well.
