Short guys are lower to ground so maybe better takedowns or tdd?
In FNC shorter guys had more powerful hooks and were better in the pocket, whilst longer fighters had better straights and were more proficient at range. I think (don’t quote me on that) it’s similar in UFC 3.

Very interested to see the approach to this. Reach advantages have been an issue for the longest time in these games.

Exactly !!! Hooks and uppecuts needs to be best "weapons" for shorter fighters in UFC 3 !!

My HW boxer in FNC is an insider (slickster/teetbook guard) 6.2, 235, 7.8 reach. I am ALWAYS fighting versus GIANTS 6.8, 260, 8.8 reach. My HW record is 560- 48, sooo yes, hooks and uppercuts works extremely good with a shorter fighters in FNC !!

Is what i need in UFC 3 !!

Talking about this i,m asking for myselft if UFC 3 have something similar to close distance like a quarter-circle with right stick in FNC ?? This works very good to counter with a hook or uppercut to the head these guys who spam jabs or straights all the time with a max longer fighter.

Excuse my english !

Shorter guys with lower centers of gravity should definitely have some kind of advantage boost over taller fighters for takesdowns and tdd. Maybe not enough to overcome the stats, but it should have an effect.

Well, sure. Of course there are good wrestlers who are tall. That's why I said not always enough to beat the stats.

But, in real life, getting your hips underneath someone elses will help you get a double leg. Being shorter helps that.

Re: In a world of tiers

I always played with 74 inch reach as boxer in UT. Who cares about 2-3 inches?

That's what she said...
