Will "Single Player" Beta Go Beyond December 1?

I did the same thing. Once i saw footage and read the improvements i didnt pick up the controller to play that piece of **** again in fact i deleted it. There is no going back at this point i was fooling myself to thinking the game was bearable because there was nothing else on the horizon but the second i saw that i knew what i have been playing was total trash and the blinders came off.

This is why I miss the era of demos not betas. A beta is way more useful at actually helping the game be better, but I feel like the two could be used in conjunction. Put out a beta and when the date ends just turn it into a single player demo. That's what I would do but of course I have no experience in development so I don't even know what kind of work something like that would entail.

This is absolutely spot on. I fired up UFC2 recently to brush up on the basics before the beta, and this sums up my reaction:



After playing UFC3, UFC2 feels so utterly limiting. People get away with BS that would get them absolutely flatlined & murder-killed in UFC3.

The interim between beta and full release is going to be brutal for us all...but let's push that out of our minds for now.
