Re: EA UFC 3 beta: BUGS and Mechanics ISSUES

All respect to the EA devs.. this game is a great game, tough.. I was Diaz vs Nurmagomedov.. He had me in the clinch and honestly, he was able to deny every transition so we'd stalemate and the only option was for him to keep kneeing my body until he saw we weren't going nowhere and he had to change the transition. I think transition denials maybe should be shortened a quarter second. I wish I had recorded it...

It was like this.. He had me in clinch.. Great transition denier.. But then we just stay locked and he can knee me all day. There's no option to forcefully grab or try to throw him without being denied.. There's no bullrush forward... It's just kinda like... Stand there and take it because transition denies take about half your stamina and you're stuck.. but here I am Nate Diaz, a great wrestler and Jiu Jitsu specialist, stuck... u know? Idk if I've explained the frustration enough, but that situation was too much.... Ground transition denials drains too much stamina.. Fighters in real life don't lose half their gas tank from having their hand slapped away, or from trying to move to the side, and being denied that.

I think that even if he's great at transition denial, it's still an issue. I just wish I recorded it because it would explain it with clarity. It's like no mans land, as the clinch sometimes was in UFC 2.. Just standing there stuck for 30 seconds trying to block everything, and having every transition denied.. and just standing there.. with no option as a forceful man to push yourself forward and try to spear him or something.. just kinda disheartening and makes the game kinda unenjoyable at times... but it's still a great game tho!

SUGATA, what are your thoughts on the ring size?

Is it me or does it kinda feel that this time around the ring is smaller?

Maybe it's the faster pacing with the different movements, but i rarely felt ring placement being as important as it was in EA UFC 2.

Maybe it was because i played UFC 3 UNDISPUTED Before the beta and that game has the Camera above you, so it perhaps makes the ring feel bigger and more free to move around in?

Even EA UFC 2, kinda gave the illusion of the ring being a bit bigger to me.

Footwork become much faster especially with moving strikes so it takes less time to cross the ring, so you think it is small i think.
Footwork need some balancing especially BWD walking

Bugs: Edson Barboza referred to as Soldier of God and as Romero. Also strike counts being off, often seeing 20/19 type counts.

Also judging needs tweaking, a knockdown, outstriking the opponent, and controlling center of the octagon should mean a round win, yet have lost many despite this.

Whats going on with the stamina?

I have noticed sometimes i just all of a sudden have like no stamina after a round. its really random it seems.

Why do people think you should go backward slower than you go forward? You can always cut people off or run, I don't think chasing should be rewarded. I do agree that it's probably a little too fast overall but I don't think forward and backward need to be different speeds. Obviously, I think a rocked fighter should be slower, maybe blocking should slow you down, but just going backwards shouldn't be punished.
