I personally think it's way better this way. Nobody will have a superman character that is invincible to everyone who didn't spend as much time playing or spend as much money as they did.
It really did become a problem later in UFC 2 where new players were completely screwed and could never win fights, so they'd just give up and stop playing.

Also, the fighters don't expire. So you only need to pull a CAF template out of a pack once. I have 20+ of them, and have sold a bunch more.
It's not that big a deal TBH.
The Nate Diaz's, yes, I agree there. However not all fighters in that weight class are available in the beta, and there are other weight classes. Over time you CAN build your team however you want it. But it does take a bit of time.
What are you even talking about dude...You are basically saying "its way better because you cant have a maxed out 99 caf so i dont care about any other features". You dont even know whats OP and whats not yet since you havent been able to get to "late game" to see if fighters can be OP or not...

And your second part about new players not being able to hang with people who been playing the game for a long time.... um duh? Thats how it should be/is in every other game... this game is no different, even if my caf is not 99 in everything he would be 90 in everything and still beat a new player coming in with a 70 ovr caf....

Me having a ground caf and being forced to equip moves to make him just a decent striker is silly... If i wanted a striker id play a striker....Why am i playing lottery with which character i want to use? How many packs do i gotta open to get a karate based caf? How many of those fighters are in the LW division? Not very many id assume....

Our freedom of choice is totally been removed and it doesnt even make sense, we have already real fighters in all the other modes... Why are they even added to UT when it should be with caf's..... This is horrendous and i promise you it will cost EA money.

I'm sick of fighting skin-jobs. They either need to put a number of fight cap on the UFC skins or boost the baseline stats to incentivize using created fighters. I'd prefer they just get rid of UFC skin-jobs all together; if you want to play as a UFC fighter you use the other modes and play a the *actual* fighter.

When I didn't have PS Plus, my favorite thing to do was play Single Championships and get an endless stream of created (mostly unique) fighters. Now it's just gold Tony Ferguson after gold Tony Ferguson.

Re: Ultimate Team Balance and Other Issues

Mostly playing Ultimate Team this weekend, loving it. Enjoy the fights against created fighters way more than going against the pro's. My bronze Spiderman is fairly ****e stat wise, weak chin, poor power, bad stamina (not ideal for a striker) but still having a lot of fun fighting as him.

Came across a gold McGregor, even though I had more significant strikes each round, he won 30-26, fairly harsh from the judges but he did have 4 knockdowns from jabs (too many knockdowns from jabs overall).

Had some great decision wars with other people defending and using a range of strikes and movements, felt like a proper MMA fight.

I like how the moves and even perks/boosts work this year, forcing me to change my strategy instead of constantly using the same ones. Most gold moves I unlocked have been rubbish though, bodylock throw, 4 fight contract, etc

I haven't come across any sub only guys yet thankfully.

Re: Ultimate Team Balance and Other Issues

My main gripe so far is the unbalance with the fighting styles thus far, 'Specialists' I think in particular will walk through 'Strikers' like butter when it comes to grappling.

Near enough unblockable transitions and takedowns make it a nightmare trying to keep the fight on the feet if you're a striker, infact might aswell not even bother trying tbh.

In this instance, it's ALOT harder to keep the fight on the feet than it is for the grappling fighter to get the fight to the ground. With the abysmal sub defence you might have you're pretty easy pickings for a competent ground player with good sub stats.

The styles are too 'archetypal' in essence.

More control over the creative direction of characters would also be nice though

I think i caught you with a uppercut, earlier today i dont know if you was trolling or what you kept going for a takedown.

Yh i agree if i get taken down by a good grappler wth good stats its like im drowning, Once they sink in a submission its a certain win.

Lol, are you sure that was me that you were playing against? I never shoot for takedowns.
