single strikes gameplay wayyy more fun than combo cheese

single strikes gameplay is amazing in the beta. manage range and throwing shot.. using jab and straight.. head movement and counter... duking and uppercut. leg kick and check leg kick.. absolutely fun. but combo cheese is not. It feels very arcade. Too much fast and low stamina tax. I exactly know how to beat them but it is not realistic. please don't make cheese this year.

I like to mix it up. I use single strikes at the beginning to gauge my opponent, and then use combos when I see openings. But yes, patient, single strike gameplay is very fun and satisfying.

Just because it’s limited doesn’t mean it can’t be cheese. The jab straight is still cheeses because it’s the quickest strike in the game and because it’s not hard to get rocked this year, people just go that route and don’t think about doing combinations. I still beat people who only do it but for new players, I can see why they would complain.

It is cheese when they come at super hyper speed and make you leap and bound across the octagon and drain no stamina and people are throwing 200 strikes a round.

Ya I played online tonight for the first time and most fights were very unrealistic. Guys just machine gunning combos over and over. I fought a couple guys who actually tried to be realistic with spacing, timing and realistic output. Game is a joy when you have fights like that.

I also experienced Nats Diaz for the first time. That's just ridiculous and I dashboarded. I mean even if you win you can't tell me it's fun fighting a Nate user

That's what most of the matches are about now. Combo Combo Combo, it WILL be the new combo multiplier in this state. You can't generally interupt them after they've started and at least in this beta, they barely effect most fighters stamina. It's simply the name of the game right now... Combo until you rock em then maybe throw a power strike to try and finish.

Once people get good a block slipping combos that changes.

Long combo chains get extremely risky, especially if they are predictable.

I'm not seeing a lot of this happening right now.
