About the missed kicks

Is there any reason some of the fighters can't spin around after they miss a kick? I'm not to hot on always getting the current animation that shows the kick stopping and fighter resetting.

Would spinning after a missed kick potentially give up takedowns or something?

Barboza spins through after a missed switch kick. I'd imagine it's just to make it slower without looking weird as hell. Like, if you spun through slowly it'd look weird, but stopping and recovering being slow kinda makes sense.

I think fighters with the high levels of the Muay Thai discipline have that animation where they can spinning back fist after a missed kick. Might be in the kick boxing discipline too

You need the spinning backfist move to do it too, so Barboza can't do it despite being probably the best kickboxer in the division (If people want to argue McGregor or Ferguson, sure)

Re: About the missed kicks

This is about missing kicks and instead of stopping the strike in the air you use your momentum, finish the strike while spinning around.

I'm watching Garbrandt vs Dillashaw, Dillashaw does it about half the time in this fight.

I’m hoping most fighters do this in UFC 3. It really looks kinda funky when you stop straight in the air instead of spinning around. TJ is alway doing that.

Re: About the missed kicks

Is the follow through kick animation tied to forward/backward movement?
