Was the match laggy? That can make takedowns HARD to deny no matter what.
But yeah, I personally had no issues denying or landing doubles, they didn't feel OP.

My main issue was how hard it could be to shoot a TD, I'd hit the input several times and .. just stood there and got popped cause I'm not moving, its frustrating as heeeck.

I think Op is just used to how easy TDs are to deny in UFC 1-2

If anything all TDs should be damn near instant if you’re within clinch range
