hy is something that needs timing and precision ergo skill cheap?
I like hidden mechanics that needs a deep dive into it and a lot of time to master this technique.
I doubt there is a tutorial on how you can put up you combo multiplier in UFC2 neither, but around 70% of the standup guys know how to do those.

Naw, I don't think you can actually even cancel a regular sweep with it as they begin sweeping long before you swoop, though I've never tried swooping once I know im getting swept, def have to lab that, I always thought it was just a quicker way to finish your transition, I swoop at about 80-90% completed just cause it'll cut that last 10% off the trans, by that stage they've already missed the reversal window by a lot and the denial window unless I'm gassed or they have GA (can't say I've really tried it there)

Against the AI in 2, swooping at any stage of the transition would make it undeniable to the AI, even if you had no stamina at all, that's been fixed I can confirm.

Overall I think of it like the L1 release transitions and sub reversals as just an advanced techniques you don't need but are handy to know.

It is something you definitely need. You use it to avoid getting reversed. What you described isn't even what the perfect swoop is for. It's to avoid getting reversed. Not to avoid a sweep or speed up a transition. I don't think it stops submission reversals though. I'll test it later.

They really need a tutorial or AT LEAST a PROMPT IN PRACTICE MODE telling when to swoop, otherwise it's useless.

This, the only other perk to perfect swooping is that the transition costs less stamina.

The speed is not affected at all.
