Anybody else experiencing difficulty with the ground game?

Every submission is a fight for the defenders life. I'm sure you love this. It's not balanced. Unfortunately I don't think there is a balanced fix to this mess. It's the new system they implemented. Now when submitting someone, I just ignore two gates for the first 2 stages because I know they are going to reset back to the bottom.

Absolutely! Can't deny the majority of transitions that were simple to deny beforehand. Yet the opponent seems to have no issue at all. It feels like there is a tiny little window to deny in or no window at all in many cases, which of course cannot be.

I just don't get it. Whether it's on the floor, on the feet, it's just not feeling right to me at all. I can only think of lag.....but then the majority of matches feel decent. Had it been lag, well you'd see this on the screen and notice input delay etc.

I've had "problems" here and there, but I chalk it up to the stats actually making a difference for better ground fighters, which I appreciate. It makes me try to keep the fight on the feet when I'm fighting them, and that's true to life strategy. I like how aggressive some good ground fighters are, with the GNP and going for submissions. It is a FAR f'ing cry from UFC 2's awful ground AI.

I cannot stop anyone from getting to full from half. Even when I feel like I pre deny.

The subs are still extremely hard to escape and reversal window is almost nonexistent!

I've honestly had no problems escaping subs. I attack 4 gates, then 3 and I usually always get out by the 2nd stage.

It seems like they've tightened up some of the denial times. Things that could be blocked before consistently before can no longer be. The biggest disadvantage here is in UT where stats are farther apart. So many champion GSP's with 95+ top game can run through my guard and hold me down no problem.

i feel its difficult to deny from the bottom, in ea ufc 2 i was denying around the same time.
