Why can't we finish the fight by g&p the body?

Weirds me out as well, it's almost as if ground body strikes were useless, they need to let us finish the fight by ground body striking because it would be more balanced since everyone just holds the block button when in that position, if body strikes did damage everything would be just fine

The ground game is pretty much an exact copy from UFC2 including all of the rubbish from that game and it just bled over to the new one. It's really unfortunate that they neglected making improvements on the ground.

Yeah but EA only makes $5 billion dollar a year, so it makes sense that there wasn´t any money left for ground game improvements.

This is my biggest concern for the game right now and may be the biggest reason I don't pick it up because not only can you not finish the fight by punching to the body on the ground, the strikes on the ground have no effect on stamina, making ground and pound all but useless.

The ground game definitely needs:
- Light strikes: pepper shots, chip away slowly at health & stamina, harder to catch & transition.
- Heavy strikes: fight finishing, deadly, bazookas, easier to catch & transition.

Bonus:
- Mouth covering: temporarily slows down stamina regain.
