Is there any way to make it so you can choose your preferred trunks color?

It's based on the country you from but they allow certain exemptions. Big Country got to wear Brazil colors when he fought in Brazil. Rose and Usman have worn their Lithuania and Nigeria colors due to their background although they are American. But the game only goes by the Country you have your fighter coming from.

Yeah they get to choose where they ‘fight out of’ and the colors are associated with that.

It may be true, but I don't think it's fixed in stone : for example, I remember Khalil Rountree sporting yellow shorts in his fight against Paul Craig (in hommage to Anderson Silva that was his training partner during camp or something along those lines). Yet, he's American !

Not what he’s saying. The COLORS of the shorts are tied to country. The fighters are not. They can choose where they ‘fight out of.’
