Re: Stamina is messed up.

I understand both arguments about stamina.

I do agree that strike output should matter more when it comes to stamina drain. But think of it from GPDs perspective, the devs have to make a game that pleases both the casuals and the hardcores. They want the game to sell and in order for that to happen, the fun element has to always be there.

I also understand Smoke's point saying that we have tools that we can use to decrease stamina of the opponent. If you want to "tire out" your opponent, you can do that. This still gives me some element of control in regards to stamina.

The stamina decrease should be more for high strike output i agree from a hardcore perspective. But in terms of balance, i think the game is in a good place stamina wise. They can't have the casual players punching themselves out in the 1st round or else they wont have fun and won't play the game anymore.

I'd rather see the majority of the stamina drain come from strike output instead of body damage.

Except you don't have guys gassing out in the first round, far from it.

Also, do we not want to play a MMA game??? I don't know about you, but i don't see guys targeting body 90% of the time in real life.

While im at it why do kicks literally cover half the freaking octagon??

Wiffed and evaded strikes do way more stamina drain than landed body strikes.

Is this permanent or temp stamina? From my experience so far I am able to lower my opponents permanent stamina pretty easily with body shots, but haven't really tested missed strikes as much.

Permanent.

And I just did a test and I was wrong, wiffed strikes and landed body strikes do similar.

Evaded strikes do a lot more than both.

Remember that perm stamina loss scales up with current stamina depletion as well. It's a huge variable meant to keep volume in check.

So the more you throw without letting temp stamina recover, the greater the effect on your long-term stamina? Good to know if that's the case. I tend to overextend during my rocks which is probably why I'm gassing earlier than I think I should (I'm patient most of the time except for those moments)
