KOs are one of the things that I'm actually surprised at how not-bad they've looked. But that's me.
If its a clean KO where you can't follow up, it shouldn't register the follow up animation where they land side ways at all. It looks terrible because they are falling like it's rag doll but they suddenly go into that specific position.

I'd take UFC ragdolls over this crap any day.
Agreed. They could even keep the canned animation/ragdoll hybrid for the knockdowns, but use full radgoll for the KO's. (or something similar to UFC 2's ragdoll, but with more weight)

It wouldn't hurt so bad if the animations were decent and varied. As it is, they sell a hit like they were in the WWE before ragdoll kicks in. Ruins a lot of the unique satisfaction and replayability.

Also it cutting away the literal microsecond a fighter hits the floor is so jarringly anticlimactic...

Think I’ve seen every ko animation already. UFC 2 has this beat in ko’s hands down. UFC 3 has fun stand up mechanics, but the non traditional punch wind up animations are too slow to be effective. Not many people use them. Block button strikes are terrible as they can’t be combo’d and the elbows are worthless with no range. What happened to the step through elbow? I used to get the sweetest elbow ko’s with Tim Means in UFC 2. RIP awesome ko’s

yeah, i posted a stone cold faceplant KO in the videos thread. its the active knockdowns people are complaining about, i'm not sure how much they have played if they think all KOs look bad, i've seen some awesome ones
