Body kick catch

The counter damage of this needs to be drastically changed and the window for catching kicks needs to be lowered as well.

Literally every fight i have me and my opponent are catching each others kicks and rocking each other atleast half a dozen times a match.

Its wildly unrealistic.

Yeah, it's really weird. Body kicks are so high risk for relatively low reward. Like, every time you throw one you're risking getting it caught and hit hard or taken down or someone ducking and armouring through to land a 4 punch combo and rock/drop you for what? A little bit of stamina? You have to land so many of such a high risk strike for them to have impact on a fight, it's honestly kinda silly.

THis was actually my biggest gripe in the beta against ai. It just ended up leading me to never throwing body kicks - which is pretty lame... lol , would rather have no leg catches over the computer catching and rocking you on half the body kicks thrown

Personally I like them as is. Forces people to set up their kicks, mix up their attacks.

As do I - now we actually have consequences for those that love to rely on body kicks.

I honestly don't have half the problems people complain about on these forums. I don't know what we are doing differently, but I land body kicks and they only get caught when I over use them. Maybe start thowing a head kick instead and when they try to catch it they get rocked hard. Half of the compaints on these forums have easy solutions, but it seems no one wants to take the time to think about it or figure it out. They just come here and cry FIX IT!

Noob question, when I catch the kick how the hell do I punch them or take them down? I manage to catch the kick but I seem to let go like a dummy

Yeah I have a friend I play with that has the same problem. I haven't been able to figure out why he can't punch after he catches it. I can do it consistently I just hit the punch button after I catch, but I've watched him play and he does the same but it doesn't work. Maybe you have to hit the right punch button if you catch with your left hand?
