EA Sports UFC 3: How Is the Audio/Visual Package?

EA Sports UFC has always featured a pretty solid presentation package as part of the price...

Have to disagree strongly with the commentary. It's way behind other sports games. Lines are repeated frequently and often don't make sense given the situation. It's worse than it was in UFC 2. We all know why (Rogan didn't want to do any more voiceover work) but still, it's a mark against an otherwise good presentation package.

Re: EA Sports UFC 3: How Is the Audio/Visual Package?

The audio is absolutely shocking.

As far as I can remember I was the only person who questioned it in the beta but it's like the crowd are watching paint dry

There is no reaction to big shots, to take downs, to achieving mount, to getting a sub in. These are the most exciting moments of the sport.

The commentary is monotone and boring.

It's a really poor aspect of it and I doubt it will be touched. Feels really half arsed as do a lot of the aspects to the game while other areas (stand up and fighter uniqueness) shine rather than a rounded package

Happy with the soundtrack options. Turned off all the main stuff but in the ZUFFA section, there's good stuff and the EA tracks too

For the life of me I don't know why they don't upgrade their replay system and make it like other sports games. The replay system in this series have always been the biggest sore spot for me. Far as audio.....yeah I pretty much tune out the commentators and ALWAYS turn off the sound track to video games right off the bat.

Good points everyone. I agree the audio needs work. I don't see them patching this. I may be wrong so let's see.

Audio could use work and it's disappointing to see a very limited amount of animations for the fighter when they are "rocked", "wobbled", "hurt", and "knocked down".* Too much focus on Ultimate Team clutter and not nearly enough variety for just about every fighting animation in the game (takedowns, takedown defense, knees, elbows, etc.)*

Good graphics. Entertaining. Very disappointing evolution between EA UFC 2 and EA UFC 3.
