can someone please tell me the buttons that catch kick and takedown ,i seem to catch the kick at times by accident not with skill then just let go of kick.

I'm not sure, but I think that, besides the punch, you can press a kick button to sweep the guy down and remain standing. Or press a TD input to actually go with him to the ground.
