Rockhold used the clinch defensively to tie up Yoel when Yoel was swarming with punches.

Try using the clinch defensively in the game and let me know how that works out...

Nah he never was big on leg kicks and with the ko power in his hands I wouldn't be either

I just assume Yoel Romero can throw every strike I could possibly think of, because he probably can

Yoel should really get some type of booster perk for the 3rd round since he finishes a good amount of fights in the 3rd maybe 10% more likely of a stun or rock in the 3rd

My issue is catching shots when going through the clinch engagement animation, which is slow, opens your head up for shots, and has short range. Those factors plus the input lag between striking and grappling means you will be standing idol at boxing range in front of your opponent for a few seconds before reaching out to clinch.

Once the clinch animation starts, it can be easily interrupted by strikes AND it’s pretty easy to deny.

Grapplers are better off shooting for a takedown because the takedown animation is faster, has longer range, and only makes fighters vulnerable to uppercuts/knees.

Solution: allow players to tie up in the clinch quicker during exchanges AND incorporate more takedown-to-clinch animations. Unfortunately that’s probably a UFC 4 thing, if the gamedevs ever decide to shift their attention to grappling.

Let's not forget Luke's jab, angles a and accuracy right before he got ko'd. That jab was freaking sick.
