speed bonus afters swaying/ducking

Is that thing legit or we should only have speed bonus after a successful sway/duck?

TBH I'd rather they sped up the non-sway hooks and uppers, that's the main reason I personally use sways a lot of the time, less "start up frame" things, though you have the increased risk for comboing if you whiff the first sway strike.

But overall, they just feel so much quicker than throwing a naked hook or.upper.

That said I hear they are a problem in ranked so I do hope something happens with them, the sway/duck battles sound pretty cheesy.

i think this is the real problem, after you sway you get a speed boost for the next strike. Everyone is spamming this trying to abuse it.

Yeah it’s stupid.

You should get increased damage and maybe a slight speed increase as you connect and the animation follows through.

Yes. It's stupid. People in ranked and UT that only sway / duck and throw uppercats and hooks.

They have not to time nothing. Only doing again and again without any penalty till you catch your opponent.

i think all the shots should have custom speed... doesn't matter if u are swaying or throwing a combo... right now combo have a lighting cheese speed... i mean hook spam or low kick + mid kick combo are ultra fast and u just can't do a proper defense right now...
i don't have problems with the moving sway strikes... but stationary sway strikes are just wrong...

Definitely one of the worst mechanics in the game.

It’s based on poor logic.

To get reduced “start up” in those situations irl it requires strict timing. In real life if i sit leaning left and then throw a strike it’ll have no extra momentum.

Sways strikes should get a boost if timed with the sway to use monetum. Otherwise it should actually he slower/ have less power.
