Very much range dependent.

The advanced lunge takes you a lot further out so it's safer, but harder to counter with because it can often leave you too far out of range.

Deciding which one to use all comes down to your range, and whether your opponent is going to throw coming forward or not.

For all the meters we have why not a vulerability meter? I mean we have a GA meter. We should see the actual spikes.

I'd like that but there's not a ton of screen real estate. There's 8 vulnerability regions so you'd need 8 meters per fighter.

I think that sway cancelling is actually a bad idea. It'd really encourage cheesers to constantly cancel their sways while fishing for a sway.


I guess the only way it'd work is that you would return your head to neutral and won't be able to block immediately and will be susceptible to strikes that counter whichever way you swayed.

Hmm how about only in practice mode so we can see where exactly the vulerability spikes happen.

Also maybe the vulerability meters only appear when they are depleting like the rest, I am not sure but I wouldn't think all 8 meters would be active at a time. But I don't have a clear picture of this.

Most of them are active as some point or another during a strike.

Maybe I'll post a video showing it with some basic strikes.

I like that idea. A lot of fighting game practice modes put a lot of extra info on screen that doesn't show up during regular fights (numerical damage done, combo scaling, etc.)

I see what you mean now better.

I think the only other option would be to have it in practice mode as additional toggle.

But a video demonstrating it would be good.
