Regular back step is just a left stick flick correct?

Yes that's correct.

The flick makes the input a little laggy so you have to do it a little early to get it to come out when you want.

The adv lunge using the right stick comes out faster.

A wiffed strike is just when you throw punch in the air without hit the opponent?

I don’t get what anyone is saying I can’t CATCH ANYONE in the middle of a sway it’s too quick and they throw too quick if they dodge it it’s over for me it’s really getting annoying now because that’s all that’s being used it’s too overpowered still it’s so frustrating losing 3 straight to sway spamming bums!

Pretty much means not landing a technique. There may be some further technical details I may not be aware of but that's what it is in general.

I'm trying Senpai. It feels pretty unresponsive not gonna lie. I've noticed though you can block and step at the same time, does that affect the evasive properties in any way? Seems like a reall solid tool if you can block, dodge and counter all in one.
