Thoughts on the haptic feedback?

Just curious if people are for or against the way haptic feedback is in the game now. Should it be available in ranked?

I'm also curious why it's under the visuals tab, lol.

Re: Thoughts on the haptic feedback?

I stumbled across that the other night.
It was weird as hell and I couldn't get used to it.
Though it definitely let me know "something" was coming before I could visually tell, I will say that.

And there was notable differences in the feedback of certain strikes. So if you were good at feeling the minute differences in vibration feedback, it could probably be a huge boon. (I am most certainly not able to use it to my advantage though, it was distracting more than helpful)

It kinda felt like a spidey sense..

I only discovered this today after messing with the camera, but I never really gave it much of a try. First impression was it gave me something additional to think about.

I will bet there are players out there making good use of it though.

It's the rumble function. The motor on left side of controller turns on/ rumbles for head strikes, motor on the right side turns on/ rumbles for body strikes, both turn on/ rumble for leg strikes. In video the we are looking at back of controller so the sides are reversed.

Be nice if leg kicks only rumbled the right side, same as standard body kicks.

Re: Thoughts on the haptic feedback?

It's almost starting to feel like cheating, with the exception of leg kicks since the right motor is so overpowering.

It's a great feature to use against the CAFs in quick match.

Re: Thoughts on the haptic feedback?

It was added to give visually impaired players a chance to play the defensive aspects of the game a little better.

Re: Thoughts on the haptic feedback?

I suppose I should turn it off then.

Glad EA thinks of the impaired!
