(If i’m in the red corner)

They also need to fix the single leg input when crouching down and pressing right on the stick. It just doesn’t work at all. Now if i crouch down and try a single leg and do the double leg input with a fighter (pushing left on the stick) with only a single leg option it works great.

Been that way since launch.

Is there anyone here that thinks single legs being so damn slow is okay? Double legs are fine?

Just genuinely curious because at high level play these are all next to useless. Even when mixed into with strikes.

I wish clinch and takedown denials weren't as simple as just rocking the stick up or down for a denial.
Both need a buff

It'd be nice if wrestling actually looked like real life, like at all

at least give us a real single leg and make it separate from the high crotch.

but yeah it all needs a ton of attention.. EA knows majority of fans are stand and bang brainlets though so i doubt it gets significant attention

I want the super low single leg takedown.

Re: Takedowns and Clinch

Not to mention the controllers:
R2 DOWN to clinch LEFT
R2 LEFT to take someone DOWN

who came up with that??

Re: Takedowns and Clinch

Honestly if they fix the clinch/clinch entry I think we have an entirely different game on our hands...

Imagine throwing strikes, shooting for a takedown and ending up in over under clinch, pushing your opponent backwards. While there, you are continuously moving, striking, and transitioning in an attempt to get your opponent against the cage.

While moving you win the transition battle and get into single collar and throw a nasty uppercut that stuns your opponent and breaks the clinch.

With their back against the cage and guard up, you shoot for a takedown and get into the takedown against the cage position. From there your opponent transitions to over under against the cage. You shoot a double and get them down with their head against the cage, and throw ruthless gnp.

Many of these things can be done in the game, but the central component missing in this sequence is a realistic clinch. Takedowns rarely result in the clinch, and once in the clinch, mobility is clunky, and strikes are nerfed (except in MT).

Once/if they fix the clinch, we’ll be playing an entirely different and improved MMA game. Might start a thread on this missing link in gameplay.

The filled circle is broken sometimes.

This is a perfect example of some of the bs I was talking about. Why bother playing as a wrestler? You are almost always at a disadvantage. The only wrestler you can play is one with great striking like Tyron.
