It becomes a case of the most interesting guys fighting the most. They're sometimes given win conditions too, sometimes even to throw a fight but make it at least look legit. That sorta thing. WWE style.

Eventually quite a few stars are formed, and a few joker characters who are basically journeymen, then a pool of randomers.

If someone gets KTFO, then they can't fight for a few events.
I factor in the result of the fight in determining if they fight soon. I have a formula system (I'll post it if you guys are interested) that sets the rankings. If someone wins a fight by quick KO/Sub, I book them at the next available event. If someone is KO'd, I dont book them for at least 4 mos.

I’d be interested to know how you are doing the rankings.

I do keep track of how exciting fights were by assigning good ones FOTN status. A card can have multiple FOTNs (although it’s rare) or can have none. I do try and give those guys a boost when it comes to matchmaking.

So my ratings system is based on the last 5 fights (except for people on streaks longer than 5). Here are how the points are allocated:

Win: 1 point
Loss: -1 point
Split decision loss: -.5 points.
FOTN/SOTN/KOTN: 1 point
Victory over someone in the top 5: 2 points
Victory over someone in the top 10: 1 point
Championship Victory: 3 Points
Streak Bonus: 1 point for every win in the streak (ex 5 wins in a row equals 4 points).

This has worked well for me over the past few years.

Re: 3 Fun Tips for Offline Universe People

Good thread - I’ve always done universe - basically i use every character in the game and rank them from 1- however many guys are in the division- from there i make matches based on rankings streaks impressive wins ect / i keep track of wins and losses - if a guy loses 4 in a row he’ll be cut - if a lower fighter wins 3 in a row he’ll face a top 10 guy ect . I also have 25 created fighters at all times / in the past I’ve always done event mode but with the lack of sliders I’m just writing down all my cards in a notebook and keeping track of the events in fight now . I think i May try the flip a coin after ever round thing though - seems like a cool way to play. I do think if they add the options for sliders In event mode I’ll be removing lhw aswell - sometimes i randomly do injury storylines where i introduce a new created fighter to step up - sometimes even againts a high ranked guy to make a name for himself - similar to he Hernandez vs Dariush
