He was essentially an EA UFC 3 fighter. Complete with Mike Tyson sways, leaping hook combos, constantly walking forward and taunts. Only thing missing was duck uppercuts(because it isnt viable in real life. But I have another topic for that)

But the most important thing is that he was picked apart BY FOOTWORK. Angles, lateral movement, footwork beat that style anyday. Not to mention he got tired doing the Tyson weaves after like a round and all of the announcers mentioned how tiring it is. Rogan/Smith even kept mentioning how that style isnt enough to compete with a high level striker.

And Zhabib was noticeably tired at the end of a 3 round featherweight fight despite landing consistently.

This game’s meta =/= real life.

My question for the community is what do y’all want? A super balanced arcade fighter or a MMA game where the meta is based on real life principles?

Great post.

I definitely prefer meta based on real life principles, and I think most UFC fans agree.

Agreed. That was a great fight. You bring up a great point. Also keep your n mind the reach difference was crazy. The bigg st thing was how the pace of a light weight fighter dipped with movement. That being said guys like Cruz can move like that for 5 rds so stats should matter some guys should be abke to move but only get slower in later rounds

To be fair with Zabit's cardio, he apparently broke his left hand warming up in the locker room, and that'd really **** you up.

This please.

Great post, too. I definitely wish footwork played the role it should, and I think it's doable with the new locomotion system.

Also, that fight was dope.

Maybe lower the range of the moving sway strikes and give the jab more accuracy and stopping power against them. This three way always avoiding jabs is really getting old. Allow jabs to be slipped only via stationary sways.

How about KK vs Herrig.

That was like an Imanari roll to mounted triangle submission attempt or something. It was slick.
