Yeah, GnP doesn't seem to score enough points in game. also weird how commentators and judges seem to still score takedowns IRL.

Yeah I thought the new rules included “dominance” and not just damage.

So control and takedowns should still count. In game 10-8s arent possible without rocks which isnt right

Re: Grappling and 10-8 rounds

I brought up 10-8 rounds for dominant grappling to Skynet in the AI vs Realism thread and he agreeded with a lot of my rambling and said he was talking to the other devs about it and it might happen.

But this was between the beta and retail and I haven't heard much since, but hopefully its doable.

I'd love to see round by round.damage tracking in the post didn't screen too, as well as the overall damage we currently have.

Re: Grappling and 10-8 rounds

10-8 means you almost finished the opponent. So standing to me that requires you to have more 1-2 more knockdowns in a round than your opponent. Or you entered finish the fight sequence

On the ground a 10-8 is multiple subs that were lost on the last gate or gnp that leads to that animations when there hands go up in the air.

I feel the 10-8 judging is pretty fair in the game

You're just making up your own scoring criteria though.

No in the ufc a 10-8 means you nearly finished you’re opponent. Well imo nearly winning in the game means what I pointed out. When thinking of it in those terms the game does a good job.

That is not what a 10-8 is

http://www.abcboxing.com/wp-content/...ng_rev0816.pdf

Those are the scoring criteria, with a 10-8 being clearly defined, the word finished does not appear in the document

We may agree to disagree but the term “diminished the ability of their opponent” sounds a lot like almost finish to me
