Bobblehead megathread

A video to reference: https://youtu.be/IHWeZyMaZxk

In my opinion, here are the major issues with the bobblehead meta:

- Trying to counter head movement with hooks and uppercuts often means that those strikes will be dodged and you will be punished for trying to counter it.

- Strikes after swaying does not cost enough stamina (see above video).

- Even if you try to counter head movement and you are not slipped, their sway strike may land first and with more power.

- Head movement can nullify body kicks. I think this is a bug.

- You will often miss if you are trying to counter the head movement with stationary strikes while the opponent is constantly moving back. The cage should be harder to escape from being backed up against.

Feel free to add, it is a megathread, after all.

Head movement nullifying body kicks isn't a bug. The idea is that by crouching you are prepared for the body kick.

It's a stupid idea and I don't know who decided that is actually how it works.

Body kicks should hurt more when spamming head movement

That’s a dumb idea! Circling away from body kicks should be the only way they are lessened, and it shouldn’t be by much.

Or some form of sweep block, block, catching the kick and finally lunging out of distance.

This is why I quit ranked, most often you'll have a player using sway and duck counters with McGregor while taunting like what they're doing is legitimate when really it's the most idiotic thing I've seen in an MMA game.

I feel bad because you did try to punish his ducking with uppercuts only for him to sway instead and you'd get rocked again.

Re: Bobblehead megathread

The real culprit here is the damage system . Strikes only do major damage when a fighter is caught moving mid strike or otherwise .

This encourages people to use head moment to fish for counters .

Re: Bobblehead megathread

I have said it before ...as long as the damage system is not changed ....this head bobbing will be here to stay .

If strikes can't do more damage or just as much damage as a counter, head movement will be here to stay .

A stamina tax won't help ...as you will likely get caught before they gas...and that's if they gas .

Coupled with fact that head movement spam mixed with ridiculous pressure is a deadly combination .

Even the AI fishes for counters ...it won't strike until you do . Both of you stand there awkwardly while it fishes for counters .
