I'm beginning to think Dana white doesn't want grappling anymore in the UFC ...

If it happens in the game great but I won't get my hopes up .

That’s a good point from a promotional standpoint, but doesn’t mean that wrestling/grappling isn’t important in MMA overall. Hopefully UFC’s aversion to grapplers doesn’t translate into gameplay drawbacks.

Right now this game’s grappling is almost entirely centered around BJJ. Wrestling in the game equates to a strong top game stat, and the clinch is a joke, making Judo and Greco Roman wrestling a side note.

I don't know where they're gauging this feedback, because I see a LOT of people who are unhappy with it.

The only people that I've played against who are happy, are the ones who spam the same 4-punch combo over and over in every fight. I'm not saying it's a majority or anything, but from the people I've played, it's pretty much universal.

As stated by others, biggest problem with grappling animations is that EVERYTHING is text book. There is no struggle ever. If you watch any of them, they look like the textbook implementation of how you'd perform a technique.
Anyone familiar with martial arts or sports in general knows this is NEVER the case, with the exception of maybe a golf swing.
