The single collar clinch break seems fast

I say this as someone who doesn't like grappling. It seems to be really easy to deny it, which makes fighter grapplers easier unless they have some boxing stats to go with it.

Not saying grappling as a whole is underpowered, I think a tad slower would be more fair

I agree the escape is a bit too fast. imo, it should be just a bit slower than the transition from there, to OU.

In the middle of the cage it should be IMO, but they need to balance it with adding power to single collar strikes and the ability to hold on by moving forawd

Fast yes. But with a bit of lag and instant grab, i dont want to know how it feel if you cant break faster.

You get stuck and mauled forever by lagging grappler.

Number 8 UT on xbox only use clinch and beat you 3 round long, you make him happy with this change.

I almost feel like it shouldn't even be a transition. If you get single collar i should just push back on left stick and you should have to follow me?

Unless you put me against the cage then the controls could change?

Then it would be easier to get pushed into cage

Re: The single collar clinch break seems fast

I wasn’t able to make my one thread I guess I don’t have enough posts.

Can you (GPD) bring back the knee strike interruptions? I remember in UFC 2 when someone was transferring to “Over Under”, “Thai”, “leg grab”, “outside trip”, or, and very specifically “break” you could throw a knee and their transition would stop.

Now, considering many obviously myself included think the break is too fast I think it would be good to re-implement to help grapplers actually be able to STAY in the clinch. And it won’t be like we’ll be able to just hold our opponent in the clinch so I feel like it’ll be a subtle yet important change.

Or perhaps it’s just a bug? Because it still works when transferring to the Thai clinch, just never when breaking the clinch or going for a trip takedown.

As a wrestler, I say it feels fine. It was too slow in UFC 2, and nobody really stays stuck in there for too long. Plus, you can just deny the transitions if they try to escape.
