Countering

Is there really any way to counter other than the leaning straight after slipping a jab? Everything else seems very unreliable and you get hit by the follow up or they just miss.

Yeah i agree with you just picked Al Iaquinta and fought diaz why the hell are his punches so fast its pretty much impossible to use head movement effectively against him or mcgregors slips need to be sped up or some fighters punches slowed down its a joke.

Re: Countering

Try slipping left to right to slip both the initial and follow up punch and follow with a hook from the side you're slipping

Best you can do is try to block as much of them as possible, try to land your own and hope they don't block as many of yours It seems

Does that work for hooks? It's the hooks that are mostly the problem for me.

You can’t really do much against the hook spam. Ducking doesn’t really work 75% of the time, leaning back is a 50/50 really. Best option is block 3, and try to back sway or duck to drain stamina and throw a quick counter, hoping the hook didn’t hit you anyways

Yeah that's what I'm finding as well. Can only seem to dodge the hook if it's the last punch. Even when I try to chain the slips I still get hit. Funnily enough sometimes when I'm messing around and wiggle the stick like mad I actually manage to dodge the punches more than I thought I would lmao.

Depends fighter height and distance

Ducking works if done early (and you’re not way taller) and back sway works if you already have some space between y’all
