Stipe was shook even before the first eyepoke. I think he was expecting DC to fold on the first combo. Reminds me of how McGregor acted when he couldn’t do anything to Nate after demolishing other guys. It was mental weakness that killed Stipe and why Jon is the GOAT. Even in the worst of it with Gus, Jon never lost his composure. All Stipe had to do was back up and chill out, show DC the respect he deserved and coast on a clear physical advantage, but he walked into DC’s game.

And DC was actually winning that second Jones fight until that Turinabol fueled kick landed. And Jones failing for drugs twice should have him leaving the GOAT conversation permanently.

DC was not winning that fight unless you ignore body shots and low kicks. You can maybe argue the 2nd for DC, but he got solidly outlanded in both rounds and landed basically nothing in the almost 3 minutes of the 3rd before the kick

Like, Jones is a drug cheat and that fight is no contest, but DC wasn't winning it before the kick

Yh DC doesn't need anymore power. He's already powerful enough in the game. If anything clinch striking needs more power. Things like health events in the clinch need to be possible.

Didnt DC rock tf outta Jones with an uppercut in the 1st? Damage matters most and DC was by far landing the most meaningful strikes up until that kick

It was either tied 1-1 or DC was up 2-0 imo.

3rd round Jon was startin to take over tho.
