Live Tuner Set Update - July 11, 2018

Gameplay

  • difficulty reduction on ankle pick to bring it in line with the regular single leg difficulty
  • reduce the maximum amount of stamina regen per round on the high end of the ratings range from 20 to 17
  • 4 frame speed up to fwd moving hooks to the head to offer a viable counter to the slip straight
  • double the damage and remove GA gained on DOM sprawl strikes to the body

Plus various ratings and move set changes.

For anyone wondering, the game used to give you a max of between 10 and 20 stamina back per round based on the endurance rating.

Now it will give you between 10 and 17, so the change has a bigger impact on higher rated fighters than lower rated fighters.

I was trying to hit the sweet spot people enjoyed from the LEC with 90 rated fighters, see how it goes and tune from there.

Not sure I fully understand why you counter balanced the added power in sprawl by taking away the GA from punches. The only way to move to back side dom was to tick off a bit of the bottom guys GA before it was maxed. Now it turns into a played out situation where the guy on bottom eats a bit extra damage but is guaranteed to have the option to move after a couple. It's not like people were getting held there against there will because of GA from punches. They were just waiting for the ref. The added damage was all that was needed to get them to move.

With the increased damage change, the stamina drain was increased as well which made it so the DOM could lock someone into sprawl by stacking up the GA while keeping his opponent at low stamina with the strike.

There were situations where the rate at which the SUB drained stamina and lost GA outpaced the GA gain and stamina loss from the striker. Those situations went completely against the goal of the change which was to force action out of sprawl and make it so it wasn't a control position for either fighter.

Now the DOM has incentive to act quickly for fear of the GA gain, and the SUB has incentive to act at all because of the increased long term consequences of eating the punches.
