What is being done about back flat position?

I'm struggling to deny cage takedowns but I believe it's because I deny as soon as I see them shoot - I believe they have to shoot, then use the grapple HUD to do the take-down - so I'm assuming I just shouldn't deny when they shoot that close to the cage, hen deny when he attempts the transition on the cage.

Yes you can and also this position is easy to get out of.
