please remove automatic get ups after KD
How many times have you seen this happens in real life? Its impossible. How on earth can do getting up instantly even if allowed KD? so annoying.Tags: None -

Active knockdowns were a terrible decision to put in the game, they just disrupt the flow of combat.
Aside from that, we still see comedic amounts of knockdowns in fights because there still isn't a reliable way to follow up on knockdowns. The majority of the time the punch button won't bring you into their guard, but even if it does it's not a position you can reliably finish the fight in so it's pretty frustrating as someone that wants to see more realistic finishes. UFC 2 had it right here, if you scored a knockdown you got a dominant position with a chance to finish your opponent with their low head health. I can only hope they fix this before the patch cycle ends, because I have been raving about it since the first season and they attempted to make some changes to it last patch but they were not good changes in practice at all. Still love this dev team though.Comment

When they are in an active knockdown you should be able to punch at them, push them over, dive on them, take back side, front headlock to sprawl, how about literally anything? It's terrible in it's current form, though I do agree that some people pop up from KDs in MMA quickly. Eddie against Conor the first time he knocks him down comes to mind, or Jorge Masvidal against Thompson and pretty much everyone that knocks him down.Comment

Yep, this happens all the time and I'm surprised more people haven't noted it. Your opponent falls down into a FTF position but jerks back into full guard when you dive on him along with a massive delay before you can strike, absolutely frustrating

Guess it's worth adding that good BJJ guys intentionally stay down because it is safer for them (Conor vs Nate 2 comes to mind) so it doesn't really make sense why the in-game Nate would want to just get up and get pummeled more.
I think the automatic get-up should he reserved for flash drops/rocks such as quick counter crosses etc. I had a match earlier today where Volkov missed a headkick and I threw a counter overhand with Ngannou and got the automatic back-up which just looks weird.
While I'm glad they fixed the punching-in-the-air issue when you knocked someone down, going to guard still doesn't feel great. I've complained before that I don't like how on ground the defending fighter is perfectly fine as long as his head health is 1-100% but the second it drops to 0 he suddenly goes limp. I think the whole finish the fight thing would benefit from if individual strikes were able to rock/KO guys like they can in stand-up.
Speaking of finish the fight, there really should be a more dynamic and interactive version than flicking the stick back and forth. And as a side note, I think refs could stop fights even without an actual knockout. There are many instances where a fighter technically isn't knocked out but they are clearly done and the fight is stopped.
Final side note, I know people don't play the stand and bang mode here, but that could really use a reset stand-up after knockdowns because at the moment the stand-and-bang mode is very snowbally.¯\_(ツ)_/¯Comment

I think active knockdowns could be replaced instead by a variable for getting up, most people naturally try to get up right away anyways. Active kds could just be very short frames to get up.
