Re: Clinch Pre Deny Issue

You had mentioned your were still able to block strikes and deny attempts doing this...

I find most people manage to deny the clinch unless there's a setup - I go to the good old 1-2 clinch and do have more success, but there are times it has been denied, whether the 1-2's landed or not. If they're landing, I'm not sure they should be able to deny it just from spamming (you do this on the ground and you're not denying/reversing anything). But I'm only basing this opinion on how the ground game works, in game, in my head.

Excuse me, may be you dont understand me right, but what "2 already exists"?...

I said:

We got Dynamic grappling (DG) mechanics in EA UFC 2 for on Ground game, BUT many its elements are not exists in Stand up and Clinch game:

Quote:
1) Why you don’t want to implement the entire Dynamic grappling mechanics which we have on the ground to the Stand up and Clinch?

1. Remove Pre denying by constant holding grabber Block
Now, i can in Stand Up constantly HOLD Grapple Block (R2+RS Up or Down) all the time even with lunging or walking or during strikes recovery - and NEVER will be failed to Clinch or TD attempt.
This is named CONSTANT Pre denial. It does NOT require ANY skill or mind game! Even NO Stamina costs for this.

On the Ground any pre deny will be a Mistimed denial and will open a timed window for undeniable opponent's transition (as a penalty).

Geoff, what is already exist?

Then i said:
Quote:
2) 2. Make time penalty for mistimed deny
Mistimed Denial is for ex TD denial (R2+RS down) before opponent's TD attempt and then REPEATING the same denial again (aka SPAMMING).
On the Ground this is as Pre denial so the opponent will get a time for follow up undeniable transition.
But
In Stand up i can SPAM TD denials over and over w/o penalty.

Why? Why you dont want to make DG for stand up too?

So, NO, these 2 are NOT "already exists". And this is very bad for the game!

Clinch and Stand Up GRAPPLING are still very primitive. More details here (please read this):
https://forums.operationsports.com/f...-fix-them.html

Nothing changed from 2016 year (nothing changed from EA UFC 2). =(

Then, about the Lunge issue - OK, i will make more detailed topic with videos. It will take some time but i am ready for game evolving...

But now i have 2 questions for you:

1) Have you read this?

https://forums.operationsports.com/f...s-how-fix.html

2) Was intended that Blocking Minor Lunges must NOT to have a delay for follow up strike?

If YES - then this is very wrong imho and i hope you will explain your gameplay logic about this...

Re: Clinch Pre Deny Issue

Ima make a video later today showing off what I said in OP. Hopefully a friend will be online, otherwise I’ll just use the practice mode.

Yes, I do believe that is OK.

I am 100% behind adding an animation for it though.

Is there a reason it is not based on player skill (reacting to the clinch/takedown attempt) and fighter ratings (clinch grapple vs clinch grapple and takedown vs tdd)?

Very pleased there will at least be an animation though! Will make this infinitely better.

how about a second cooldown on the clinch denial so if you do it too early the attempt can get you as you cant spam straight after to deny??

Can you explain your thought behind it being okay to spam the clinch deny? Maybe I don’t understand completely. I just feel both TD and clinch deny should be (mostly) reactive.

Also Are you for or against adding a stamina drain to a mistimed deny? Perhaps similar to the stamina drain when you spam TD deny. Lastly, if you are to add an animation can you do it for Clinch as well as TD
