Ranked: Equalized Stats only?

I have it split. Can't forget about people who follow Martial, IMUHBOXER, Ricky J Sports, etc other YouTubers as well. But the best way to know for sure, is to have it done.

Well it’s not nice to lump all of them together.

I think there’s a decent portion of people that play ranked because the other modes are limited

I hate mirror matches. But there isnt much else to do offline. Career mode sliders are great but career mode itself is too dry.

Fighting the AI can also get old pretty fast once you get used to it.

I honestly don't understand any of this. Ranked players, whether they "like" mirror fights in ranked or not, cannot do anything about them. They happen. They weren't vouched for or demanded by the Ranked players. They're just there. If you're asking about my own attitude about them, I'll tell you - I don't like them, but they're not such a big problem for me because I'd rather have a mirror fight the way it is in ranked, rather than to have people race for a specific fighter. I like to be able to jump in and pick anyone I want. I understand that people will want to be able do the same and if a mirror fight happens that's okay. But mirror fights and the way they are right now is nothing like the ridiculous suggestion of stats being equal for everyone. And once again - people don't actively want mirror fights.

I have no control over that. Also, EA may not want to do that because it would make it appear that they are thinking of doing this and they dont want to cause any unnecessary panic.

What started this thread was my surprise about how many people in that poll voted yes. The devs havent weighed in on this at all.

Maybe. From what i've seen, people who play offline tend to play offline. Even if EA made a deep universe mode, a deep career mode and gave people complete customization, it still all comes down to the AI.

If you are too good for the top level of difficulty or find it predictable, it doesnt matter how deep the modes are imo.

To me when we say cheese we need to be more specific because there are two types. This game really only has one type

1. Unbalancing cheese - this is cheese that is almost unstoppable and there is nothing you can do if your opponent has mastered this. It would throw the game out of balance. For better or worse. I can’t think of a tactic in this game that can’t be stopped.

2. Unrealistic cheese - this cheese destroys immersion but is far from unstoppable. Fed moving pressure is like this. It’s annoying and unrealistic, but it can be countered.
