There are so many additions to this game that go underappreciated, it is insane.

I just started using the pop-jab effectively and it's awesome. A lot of people don't use features like arm-post retreat, muscle modifier and the various GA opportunities.

Yh same. The jab has been working a lot better for me now and the stiff arm retreat is a must use if you're a rangy fighter or want to maintain distance. The things they did with GA this patch are great too, but I think grappling also just needs to be fleshed out more.

How do you stiff arm retreat? Does it actually keep the pressure muppets off you?

R1+R2/RB+RT and left stick backwards. And yh it can help keep the pressure off, but works best when your a rangy guy. Of course they'll still eventually catch up to you, so you gotta also use side lunges and stuff when they come in swinging. Sometimes its almost like you have to run away smh...

R1 + R2 and backwards on L Stick

Don't abuse it or use it in long spurts.....decent stamina drain and there are a couple strikes that can punish this technique....BUT that said, it is a very useful tactic against pressure fighters.

I agree that there are a ton of cool nuances/tactics/transitions in this game but very hard to learn about them unless you're a hardcore.

Unless you were paying close attention around the time of the patch re: Muscle Modifier for GA ---- you would never know it was even there unless someone told you.

I sort of like the 'Easter Egg' aspect of this haha but also really really hope UFC 4 has a much much much more in-depth tutorial/etc.

I totally forgot how to use the muscle modifier and for
which transitions it can be used.

The one I always think of is Half Guard SUB when you try to Stand Up .... you can muscle-modify that stand-up and makes a pretty sizeable difference. There is a ton of stamina drain though, but that's a good thing IMO makes it a big risk vs. reward.

But yea I forgot most of them myself lol I think when someone has your Back you can use muscle mod to shake them up/stand-up too...? I should probably brush-up on this
